As per latest initiative taken by Divisional Commissioner of Agra, Mr. Pradeep Bhatnagar,  visitors’ entry will be allowed to visit Taj Mahal on Fridays. Normally Taj Mahal remains closed for visitors on every Friday but for sake of tourism development and promotion this decision has been made. It will be open on first half-day only i.e. 07:00hrs to 12:00 hrs (noon) in which visitors are required to pay 5000 INR. or 100 USD on per person basis. For this special ticket will be issued. As if now it is a decision and implementation is yet to be done. Meeting was attended by Archeological Survey of India (ASI) officials also. They will forward the proposal for due process of law and notification. Clearence will be seeked from ASI Director General. On the other hand, conservationists are opposing the proposal.

Panna national park has received special gift from Pench national park. Adult tigress has been shifted from Pench to Panna national park on 22/Jan/2014. This task was in pipeline since many days and now finally it was done successfully. Its introduction to Panna national park will help to maintain balance in male – female tigers due to which incidences like killing of cubs by male tigers will be reduced. Here population of male tigers has been increased and their was urgent need for new tigresses to maintain balance. It is a welcome step by forest department and will lead to further growth of tigers population in Panna national park.
