Kanha and Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserves are most prestigious tiger reserves of India. One can understand their status by going through any Tiger Tour Itineraries of number of known Travel Agencies & Tour Operators. Both of them have reserved their places in any tour program that highlights tiger sighting in their tour. Being close to close to each other in Central India, both of them were visited at most of the time. Often we have seen visitors question as which one of them offer good tiger sighting and most predicted answer is “Tiger sighting is matter of luck”. Answer is quite justified as King follows its own will and not driven by anything.

Tiger Sighting at Kanha and Bandhavgarh is comparatively good and differ in some way. At both the tiger reserves, probability for tiger sighting is high. Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve area is smaller than Kanha Tiger Reserve. Due to small area, network of roads in Bandhavgarh forest is more dense than Kanha. So here if we can find tiger’s road-crossing pictures more often and also more different tigers in a safari or game-drive. Predicting the direction of tiger-move we and re-locate him easily. In case of Kanha Tiger Reserve, as area is vast, density of road is poor due to which, road-crossing sighting are not so easy but is once tiger has been located in a road, its sighting will last long from 20mins to 60minsĀ  following the safari jeep or to be followed by safari vehicle. Tiger density of Bandhavgarh is high, in compare to Kanha national park thus while doing jungle safari drive, possibility of different tiger sighting is more in Bandhavgarh.

So as a conclusion, we can say, for Tiger photography Bandhavgarh is better and for videos, Kanha National Park is better. Kanha National Park is more complete nature reserve than Bandhavgarh.
